Main Purpose:
Head Project Control is accountable for planning and executing the various activities involved in the project and its monitoring & Control.
Head Project Control is part of the Segment Leadership Team and is expected to play a leading role in meeting targets for the delivery of new projects (cost, time, quality value, HSE), and in ensuring that all development activities are conducted to the highest standards across the Segment in the stipulated time period.
Job Accountabilities :
- Ensure a high-quality, efficient, and timely provision of project.
- Accountable for the overall performance of the Function with respect to volume delivery, adherence to budget, and HSE performance.
- Reviews E&P's Business Plan from an Exploration perspective and highlights obstacles and enablers for achieving financial and operational targets
- Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring & Control of Statutory Clearances / Approvals for the project.
- Ensure safety of the men/material/surroundings through best industry practice. Development schedules for progress tracking of cost, time & resources including the milestone summary.
- Ensures the Time, Resource & Cost Control in the project.
- Scheduling of seismic , drilling , development activities , monitoring these activities against the plan, indicate critical paths where immediate management actions are required, suggest remedial measures to recover from the critical path.
- Prepare charts /graphs indicating the actual vs scheduled progress in area with trend
- Ensure planning of necessary tools, tackles, spares, and manpower for the jobs carried out.
- Identify critical activities which impact the scheduled completions
- Contributes to overall E&P strategy as member of E&P UL
- Ensure preparation all type of MIS reports as per management requirement (Daily, Weekly, Monthly etc.), related analysis, Preventive/ corrective actions.
- Project Progress reporting.
- Budget preparation for project control team.
- Cost control of the project
- Lead, resource, develop & maintain cadre & number of highly competent and motivated project control professionals. Holds joint responsibility with HR on staff competence development.
Skills Required :
Well conversant with various Project control tools like MS Office, MS Projects, Primavera, Power point, Excel, Schedule risk analysis etc.
Qualification:
Engineering Graduate
Project Management Certification (PMI) desirable
Experience:
Minimum 20 years of relevant experience & 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas
