This position will be responsible for mechanical tools, 3D printing, process evaluation, system testing across the hardware development and mechanical engineering process operations for Fawkes Engineering. We are looking for someone with a desire to work on electro-mechanical prototypes. Experience with robotics is a plus.
Mechanical Engineering development TOOLS identification, implementation, and ownership
o Fusion 360
o Prototype using 3D printers
Support mechanical architecture and design efforts
o Capture designs, notes, tracking and actions.
o Support follow up and follow through on mechanical design and development activities.
Quality test planning and implementation
o Facilitate Fawkes QA strategy
o Develop roadmap to improve, grow and automate QA in product development process
Data collection and analysis
o Collecting key software, hardware, and product data.
o Compiling and reporting on data
o Data analysis and troubleshooting, including identifying insights and proposed solutions.
Skills and experience
o Experience with injection molding would be nice
o Experience and knowledge of CNC use is desired
o Experience and knowledge of design for manufacturing is desired.
Qualifications:
Experience with/or strong interest in learning prototype development.
Knowledge and experience with CAD software
Strong ability to research, identify and communicate solutions and options to address issues and increase capabilities.
Process improvement and continuous improvement approach
Experience with computer, software, and applications
Experience with current communication applications or similar tools/platforms as: Confluence/Jira, Slack, MS Teams and other MS Office applications
