Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy is seeking a technical individual to be part of the NextEra Solar Team within Power Generation. Engineer shall be responsible for supporting the daily operation and maintenance of Neptune Solar. This position will report to the Solar & Storage Site Manager and will work out of the Pueblo, Colorado area.
This individual is responsible as the site safety manager to ensure all personnel and equipment on-site are safe and that the site/s are in environmental compliance with all required regulatory permit requirements. Under limited guidance, the individual will perform a variety of tasks, including independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures while using judgment when making adaptions and modifications and performing root cause analyses. Engineers on the Nextera solar team can spend a significant amount of time in the field (outside) troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of our solar facilities. At times, Engineer will be on-call and responsible for the sites, coordinating with the Renewables Operation Control Center, OEM's, Vendors and Contractors as required.
Engineer should be highly motivated with a strong bias for action and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering highly preferred.

The base pay for this position is $87,200.00 to $130,800.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
