**Position Title: Controls Engineer**

**About Us:**

We're seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the electronics of our production equipment. If you're passionate about troubleshooting and enhancing maintenance skills, we'd love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities:**

- Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and electrical devices, including PLCs, HMIs, variable speed motors, drives, and temperature controls.

- Collaborate on the design of electrical control systems for new and existing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and process control standards.

- Supervise and assist maintenance teams in installing and troubleshooting electrical control systems to meet regulatory standards.

- Manage maintenance equipment programs, including electrical test equipment and software.

- Maintain electronic records of facility equipment programs and oversee the ordering of replacement electrical components.

- Evaluate new electronic technologies for potential integration into production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization.

- Be available for on-call support and responsive to off-shift production needs.

- Perform other duties as assigned, supporting safety, quality, and production concerns and projects.

**Safety:**

- Follow established health and safety procedures and rules.

- Proactively identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.

- Participate in accident prevention activities, including investigations and safety training.

- Maintain a safe work environment and uphold health and safety equipment standards.

- Actively contribute to health and safety program improvement initiatives.

- Ensure regulatory compliance in the work area and participate in formal involvement team activities.

**Physical Demands/Work Environment:**

This role involves standing, sitting, walking, and occasional lifting. Developmental training opportunities will be provided as needed.

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Five years of experience in electronics, controls, electrical design, and troubleshooting.

- Proficiency in PLC ladder logic, preferably with Allen-Bradley systems.

- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

- Interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality.

- Knowledge or experience in industrial hydraulics, electricity up to 480v, and machinery.

- Good eye and hand coordination, meeting vision requirements.

- Ability to obtain necessary licenses and certifications, including tow motor license.

- Flexibility to work any shift with overtime as needed, possibly on short notice.

- Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight trips (<5% of the time).

- Commitment to completing required training for the position.
