Job Description:

We are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in Sheet Metal, Plastics, and Catia V5/V6 for a long-term contract position in Raymond, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing components for manufacturability while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Prior experience working with Honda or Honda suppliers OR Related Automotive companies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop sheet metal and plastic components for various applications.
Utilize Catia V5/V6 for 3D modeling, drafting, and design validation.
Work closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and engineering departments to optimize designs for cost, performance, and quality.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development cycle.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in product design, focusing on sheet metal and plastic components.
Strong proficiency in Catia V5/V6.
Prior experience with Honda or Honda suppliers is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
