Job Description:
We are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in Sheet Metal, Plastics, and Catia V5/V6 for a long-term contract position in Raymond, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing components for manufacturability while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Prior experience working with Honda or Honda suppliers OR Related Automotive companies is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sheet metal and plastic components for various applications.
- Utilize Catia V5/V6 for 3D modeling, drafting, and design validation.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and engineering departments to optimize designs for cost, performance, and quality.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development cycle.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in product design, focusing on sheet metal and plastic components.
- Strong proficiency in Catia V5/V6.
- Prior experience with Honda or Honda suppliers is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
