Summary
The Assembly Process Engineer will focus by observing, directing, coordinating and improving the daily activities involved in producing products in our Assembly facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop new assembly processes / tooling and oversees equipment startup for new programs.
- Develops / Designs assembly processes to meet customers / production needs.
- Creates process layouts that both maximize output and minimizes material handling.
- Supervise trial builds and documents information (cycle time, output, issues, etc.)
- Responsible for trial part quality and robot programming.
- Lead and participate in cost reduction activities such as cycle time reductions, operator reductions, and material flow improvements.
- Interaction with customers (internal / external) to resolve technical/quality issues and implements corrective actions.

- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
- 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry is preferred; but is not mandatory

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic arithmetic.
Computer Skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience?
