Job Description:
GenesisTissue is a growing startup, and we are seeking an Entry Biomedical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role involves assisting in the development, execution, and troubleshooting of experiments related to 3D printed scaffolds, biomaterials, and tissue engineering.
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with cell and tissue culture techniques, biomaterial characterization, and preclinical testing. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to contribute to innovative biomedical research while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support R&D initiatives for new product development.
· Computer aided design (CAD) and 3D printing/bioprinting/post processing
· Assist with characterizing cell/tissue/biomaterial constructs (e.g., biocompatibility testing, cytotoxicity studies, fluorescent staining).
· Perform routine tissue culture tasks (preparing solutions, sterilizing instruments, waste disposal).
· Assist with in vitro and in vivo research activities.
· Collaborate on equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance.
· Document experimental procedures and prepare reports.
· Contribute to the preparation of work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Participate in team meetings and provide project updates.
· Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members.
Position Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field (e.g., bioengineering, tissue engineering, materials science).
· Familiarity with CAD, 3D printing (photopolymer/extrusion) and post processing methods.
· Familiarity with cell/tissue culture and biomaterial handling techniques.
· Experience with laboratory equipment and basic experimental procedures.
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
