Instrumentation Engineer - Geleen, Netherlands
Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract working via Leap29, after the 12 months there is a potential permanent position.
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); Dutch language skills are a plus.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join a leading organisation in the nitrogen fertilisers and melamine production industry. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced instrumentation systems within production facilities.
This dynamic position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure instrumentation systems adhere to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will work in a day-shift schedule as part of the Engineering team supporting three plant units and report directly to the Instrumentation, Systems & Electrical Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain instrumentation systems to optimise production efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to meet technical and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve system performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in instrumentation, ideally in the chemical process industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical information effectively.
- Proficiency in Dutch is mandatory.
- Familiarity with industry norms and standards is essential.
- Knowledge of electrical installations is a plus but not required.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
