Instrumentation Engineer - Geleen, Netherlands

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract working via Leap29, after the 12 months there is a potential permanent position.

Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); Dutch language skills are a plus.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join a leading organisation in the nitrogen fertilisers and melamine production industry. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced instrumentation systems within production facilities.

This dynamic position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure instrumentation systems adhere to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will work in a day-shift schedule as part of the Engineering team supporting three plant units and report directly to the Instrumentation, Systems & Electrical Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain instrumentation systems to optimise production efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with multiple departments to meet technical and operational requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Continuously evaluate and improve system performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in instrumentation, ideally in the chemical process industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical information effectively.
Proficiency in Dutch is mandatory.
Familiarity with industry norms and standards is essential.
Knowledge of electrical installations is a plus but not required.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
