SCM Contracts Advisor
The expectation is the role will be a full-time onshore position and will also include project closeout at the end of the offshore installation campaign. This role may be shortened or extended at Clients sole discretion (subject to change at the discretion).
POSITION INFORMATION Description: The Project is a multi-year project consisting of the subsea inspection of flexible riser connections via divers and/or new subsea equipment fabrication and installation with a dive support vessel. The SCM Contracts Advisor position will lead the contract management activities within Subsea Project, minimizing risks during the development of contractual terms and conditions, supporting those supply contracts, and then supporting contract compliance and closeout.
Summary of Responsibilities:
• As member of the Subsea Project Team will ensure the compliance with processes and contract administration / stewardship.
• Lead development of contract scope of work for the installation contractor and dive support vessel
•Actively involved in the capture, management, incorporation and closure of opportunities, lessons learned and risks from planning through to execution and project closeout.
• Support development, negotiation and execution of contracts using approved documents.
• Provide feedback to the Subsea Project Team with regards to negotiated outcomes as to acceptance within the environment.
• Provide guidance and support to internal customers with regards to contract management activities.
• Report all contract compliance discrepancies, highlighting repeat offences, to the applicable Supply Chain Management and Business Unit Leads.
• Resolve issues escalated by internal customers and / or external suppliers as it relates to contract management and provide recommended solutions for issues requiring leadership support.
• Manage the contract change management process.
• Manage the contract close-out process.
• Manage any warranty claim processes.
• Monitor supplier's performance related to contract terms.
• Provide historical information related to a supplier(s) contract compliance and performance to the appropriate resources during the sourcing process.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
• Post-secondary business background preferred, with a minimum of 10 years contract management industry experience with preferred experience in managing subsea engineering, installation and marine vessel scopes
• Business Partner Relationship Management (BPRM) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
• Supplier Analysis, Screening and Selection
• Supply Chain Management Foundation
• Business Performance Measurement (KPIs)
• Understanding of Corporate Governance, Policies and Procedures
• Experienced with Negotiation, Sourcing Strategy and Contract Administration
• Familiar with Contract / Procurement Law
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage and motivate external third parties
• Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills.
