- ResponsibilitiesResponsible for oversight of Corporate Venture Capital for ADP Ventures, including making financial and strategic investments in emerging technology companies. Responsible for developing a deep understanding of, and be immersed in, HCM technology, startup ecosystems, building subject matter expertise and credibility, tracking emerging market trends and technologies, and developing these within investment focus areas for ADP. Responsible for sourcing relevant investment opportunities, attending conferences, industry events and proactively engage with entrepreneurs. Identify entrepreneur and founder communities to build a pipeline with strong prospects and monitor the status of startups on an ongoing basis. Refine and develop internal CVC strategy, internal processes, products. Research and evaluate new opportunities as a potential investment, including interviewing subject matter experts across ADP and within startup teams. Prepare, distribute and develop due diligence materials that include deep analysis on market landscape, competitive landscape, product ecosystem and investment structure. Provide best-in-class support to portfolio companies with an emphasis on strategy, business development including partnership integrations with ADP and fundraising. Represent and build the ADP Ventures brand internally and externally as a CVC that actively partners with startups.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:- Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or related field of study plus two (2) years of related experience required.
- Work Experience. One (1) year of experience must include: Investing related experience in venture capital, investments, SaaS, or HCM Technology within corporate venture capital, successful growth startup, top-tier management consulting or investment banking area; Performing analytical exercises such as market sizing, financial analysis, retention analysis, LTV/CAC computations, and returns analysis; Working within startup and investment ecosystem, including HR Tech and adjacencies; and Forecasting, competition analysis, and benchmarking against industry.
