This role is full-time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is available only in New York.
ResponsibilitiesRole OverviewThe Director, Story will guide a small team to achieve press-worthy work across multiple channels for several brands. Much of this work will live on social, but cracking the big idea for the OOH placement or writing the brand manifesto that informs creative across channels is also part of the job. The work is deeply grounded in culture and focuses on connecting to the things people care about.
The ideal candidate will be ready to take on a fresh challenge every day. From creating a brand swag line, to planning and launching new campaigns on TikTok; from cracking an IRL brand activation that will earn headlines, to building paid-ad concept decks; when a creative challenge arises, you roll up your sleeves and help us stay "always on."
Key Responsibilities- Help lead ideation and find the big idea that will drive earned media across any channel. Then make it feel simple through slides
- Inspire and organize a team around cultural and consumer insights that will lead to bigger and better thinking
- Roll up your sleeves with copywriting and content direction from one-off posts to integrated campaigns. From caption to tagline, no project is too small, no ambition too big
- Bring fresh thinking and a collaborative spirit to the team when developing work
- Help to nurture a team of junior creative and strategic minds
- Lead creative projects, helping build timelines and set meetings for various phases, share outs, check-ins, etc.
- Always be searching for consumer insights, new platforms and cultural trends
- Multitask and prioritize workload with quick turnarounds
- Present concepts and work closely with clients, applying creative solutions to strategic business problems
- Obsess over the journey of your idea from spark to published work, ushering quality along the way, and communicating vision to all who touch it, both clients and colleagues
- Iterate and evolve concepts with constructive feedback all while remembering the big picture
Qualifications- 6+ years of experience as part of a creative team
- Copywriting experience
- Experience creating campaigns and communications strategies across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok)
- Experience working on activations rooted in earned media
- Experience working in a creative agency setting
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Collaborative partner with a great work ethic
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience running social channels for brands
- Experience in CPG
- Bachelor's Degree

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $135,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
