Position Summary
Purpose
The Workshop Planning Manager is crucial in ensuring seamless operational delivery within the workshop. This role involves
meticulously managing labour, logistics, materials, and workscope development to achieve high-quality, cost-efficient
outcomes. Effective planning, coordination, and execution of workshop schedules are essential to prevent workflow
disruptions. The Workshop Planning Manager must possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to
manage multiple tasks simultaneously. By fostering a collaborative environment and promoting continuous improvement, the
Workshop Planning Manager ensures smooth and effective workshop operations, contributing to the overall success of the
organisation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Functions
• Manage and develop the planning function in line with business strategy and needs.
• Provide leadership to individuals, groups and the management team
• Oversee the planning, development, execution, and monitoring of detailed workshop schedules to optimize resource
utilization. Ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Efficiently allocate
labor and resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Oversee coordination of logistics for material and product movement, ensuring timely and safe delivery both within
the workshop and to external locations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to coordinate planning efforts and ensure team alignment.
• Proactively communicate with key stakeholders about challenges such as labor and material constraints, identifying
risks and mitigations to ensure operational continuity and minimize disruptions.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal parties.
• Monitor, analyze and publish reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of
planning activities and support the implementation of new solutions.
• Coordinate and communicate planning processes and outcomes with local and regional management.
• Review long-term forecasts and make strategic recommendations to management for inventory levels to mitigate
risks.
• Participate in relevant planning, manufacturing, and supply chain initiatives and teams.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align workshop activities with organizational goals, ensuring
clear communication and prompt issue resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Continuously assess and improve planning processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead and participate in improvement projects, driving continuous improvement through best practices and innovative
solutions
• Develop, implement, and maintain work processes and procedures for the planning group, ensuring compliance with
company processes, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Participate in HSEQ initiatives.
• Participate in relevant workshop meetings (toolbox talks, safety stand downs, etc.).
• Where appropriate, raise non-conformance reports to follow up discrepancies found within processes.

ensure a safe working environment.
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.
Eliminate waste in all forms, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices, and contribute to the
continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management. Proven extenive experience in relevant
field can be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 5 years of experience in resource planning
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred.
• Strong demonstrated critical thinking and logic skills with proven track record of success in a complex production and
assembly LEAN environment.
• The candidate requires a clear understanding of supply chain and workshop fundamentals
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft
Office suite
• Experience in materials management
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective leadership and team-building skills

• Experience and interest in using AI and/or other new technologies to drive improvement.
• Knowledge of 6S and lean principals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Professional Certification for Planning, Production and Supply Chain.
• Knowledge of MS Office and PeopleSoft ERP System is a plus.
