Launch Vehicle Structures Engineer
Description
Seeking candidates in engineering discipline with experience in developing components for reusable launch systems, including refurbishment of the spacecraft after launch for consultancy/advisory position. Primary interests include experience in material choices for structural design, in particular aluminum alloy components, aimed at maximizing number of launches and modeling spacecraft lifetime based on material properties and testing.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Mechanical/Materials/Aerospace Engineering Degree(s)
>3 years of relevant experience with re-useable launch systems
Preferred Skills/Experience
Strong competency in structural mechanics, fatigue, and fracture
Direct experience with launch vehicle design for static and complex dynamic loading conditions
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
