Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Stress Engineer with 10 years stress analysis experience to join our team. This position requires a deep understanding of piping systems, the ability to perform detailed calculations, and a solid knowledge of industry standards and codes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure the delivery of efficient and cost-effective designs. Will perform pipe stress analysis for different equipment like Steam Turbine, Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, Tank Exchangers, Heaters, Columns, etc. Salary depending on experience.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Registration: Prefer Professional Engineering registration
Responsibilities:
· Designing piping support components.
· Developing engineering computations.
· Evaluating nozzle loads and collaborating with other departments.
· Measuring the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, thermal cycle loads and wind.
· Perform pipe stress analysis for different equipment like Steam turbine, Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, tanks, exchangers, heaters, columns, etc.
· Checks the isometrics for construction of critical lines issued by the drafting office.
· Perform calculations of critical piping networks.
· Reviews the client’s technical documentation and requirements.
· Provide support to the design team for conceptual and detail design phases.
· Issues project piping stress specification and critical lines list.
· Review and verify that drawings are in compliance with all strength requirements and all applicable regulations.
· Performs piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems during preliminary design and detailed design phase of Project.
Requirements:
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Extensive experience with Caesar II required.
· Creating accurate project specifications.
· Experience with large vapor lines.
· Issue and releases of structural analysis reports and documents.
· Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues.
· Issues loads to allow the design of pipe rack and foundations.
· Responsible for design of all piping support components.
· Performs the inter-disciplines checking for the part of document in accordance with the scope of piping material section.
· Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping support components required by stress analysis.
· Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis design work.
· Must have practical knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code, ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and 2, API design standards covering API 610, API 661, API 617, API 618, API 560.
· Perform relief valve’s reaction calculations
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Stress support for the conceptual and detail design of primary and secondary structures in various projects.
· Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting.
