This role is required to support client International Gas and LNG from both an Asset Management and Business Development/ Mergers and Acquisition perspective. The primary focus areas for this role are to review and challenge operator provided well engineering drilling designs, cost estimates and schedules providing independent estimates where appropriate. Support is additionally required within the Business Development/ Mergers and Acquisition teams to perform technical due diligence on upstream international growth opportunities. Key accountabilities for this role are:
Investment and Financial Oversight:
- Review and challenge operator provided estimates for cost, schedule and well design
- Monitor financial performance and ensure cost efficiency reviewing and approving budgets and expenditures as appropriate.
Technical due diligence
- Review and challenge operator provided estimates for cost, schedule and well design.
- Provide independent well costs and schedule for a range of non-operated joint ventures
Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with the operator to stay informed about project progress.
- Participate in regular meetings with the operator and other stakeholders.
- Generate reports and draft communications related to JV activities.
Risk Management:
- Capture well engineering risks and opportunities and propose mitigation plans.
- Ensure the appropriate level of due diligence is performed to support investment decisions.
- Monitor operational risks and support operator to implement contingency plans.
Technical and Operational Support:
- Provide input on technical and operational decisions when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
- Support the operator in achieving project milestones and objectives.
Regulatory and Compliance:
- Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
