We are looking for a Project Engineer / Project Manager based in Houston, TX, or Tulsa, OK, to support RNG client with at least 8 years of experience with Renewable Natural Gas (RNG).
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project to ensure each project is completed within the given timeframe.
- Manage the project budget with regards to project resources, equipment purchases, and outside contractors.
- Manage changes in scope and design including cost, resources, and schedule.
- Generate, review and/or comment on technical documents such as P&ID, process flow diagrams, general arrangement drawings, 3D models, and others.
- Manage resources from different departments within the company.
- Manage external contractors and EPCs from an owner-project manager's perspective.
- Review, negotiate and approve terms and conditions with outside contractors and suppliers.
- Issue purchase order requisitions and manage delivery progress of purchased parts and equipment.
- Continually monitor and report on project performance. This includes creating monthly project update reports for all stakeholders within the company.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing project documents.
- Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Create and distribute meeting minutes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering and management, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing RNG projects from conception to operations , including project planning, execution, and optimization.
- Assisting with the development and execution of project scope and schedule, from FEED (Front End Engineering Design) studies through to project delivery and ongoing operations.
- Assisting with all applicable pre-commissioning & commissioning related activities.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Master's or higher is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in risk identification and management.
- Familiarity with process design practices and related engineering elements.
- P.E. license preferred
