It is a position that will give you an original overview of how the different parts of the turbine work together. You will gain a broad knowledge of the different functions of the turbine and be involved in areas that include industrial control panels, cables, sensors, actuators, electromechanical systems, and control functions. You will also be involved in the development and integration of innovative solutions that will keep Vestas as the leader in sustainable energy solutions.
Responsibilities - Develop and maintain work processes to ensure transparency and validity of interfaces, optimizing process efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain interfaces between industrial control panels, turbine control systems, and surrounding systems (sensors, actuators, converter systems, pitch control, functional safety, etc.), ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
- Coordinate system engineering/integration efforts within Control & Auxiliary Power, aligning them with product-level requirements and planning verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to deduce unspoken basic requirements, understand operational concepts, and identify and avoid undesirable behaviour in system design.
- Specify stakeholder and system requirements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and system architecture, and oversee the development of system-level Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEA) to mitigate potential risks
- Contribute to technology development projects aimed at developing new or expanded functionality, ensuring system robustness and reliability through the application of robust design principles
Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in system engineering, integration, or implementation within a technical environment, preferably in the renewable energy or power systems sector
- Proficient understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including their interconnections and interactions, to effectively navigate complex system integration challenges
- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate stakeholder requirements into actionable system specifications and design solutions
- Demonstrated expertise in applying systems engineering principles and methodologies to identify, analyze, and resolve system-level issues, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
Competencies - The ability to work with no supervision and to establish good working relations is essential

- Understanding complex systems and organising them in a structured way
- Knowledge of system and concurrent engineering principles would be useful
