Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, SCADA Hardware, as part of Control Hardware.
Within the Control Hardware division, our team spearheads the creation of innovative control hardware solutions for the next generation of wind turbines and SCADA systems. Leveraging system engineering, modularization, and simulation techniques, we enhance intelligence in these systems. As a member of this team, your role extends beyond new product development to encompass the maintenance and enhancement of our current SCADA Hardware product lineup. Our work is at the intersection of hardware and software, emphasizing the importance of seamless collaboration with other departments for sustained growth.
Responsibilities As a Technical Lead your primary responsibilities include.
- Guide SCADA HW R&D projects through Vestas' stage gate model, overseeing the entire lifecycle from early concept to implementation
- Assume design responsibility by creating technical purchase specifications, ensuring external suppliers meet quality standards and adhere to agreed timelines
- Take charge of engineering change management tasks for existing SCADA hardware products
- Develop and update technical documentation related to SCADA hardware solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create seamless communication
- Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders
- Participate actively in customer or supplier meetings, contributing to effective partnerships
Qualifications We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Marine Engineering or closely related relevant studies
- Proficient in LV panel design
- Experienced in LV component and system testing
- General understanding of network vendors' hardware, software, and operating systems (beneficial)
- Familiarity with international standards like IEC, UL, etc., including IEC 60204-1 Machine directive
- Knowledge of SCADA system design (beneficial)
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written
