Responsibilities Planner (Manufacturing Planner) would ensure that the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity. Able to deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements. Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets requirements.
- Review sales order received from the customer and provide delivery commitment based on the raw material & capacity available with us. If found any issue in the parts regarding manufacturing feasiblity then need to inform customer to cancel the order or reduce scope of manufacturing.
- Need to set up MRP parameters for newly received parts. Need to review drawings(mfg feasibility/material spec etc.) whether it is a manufacturing item or purchase item.
- Based on the drawing need to select most cost effective bill of material and need to add manufactuting router by deciding operation sequences how the product will go from one operation to other by reviewing drawing and getting input of machining(work center detail, Run time & set up time) from Production.
- Ownership of MRP reports, ensuring correct LT is captured for manufacturing items/purchase items and assembly items. If there is any concern regarding any messages or query from team members then guiding them.
- Making raw material planning sheet based on the component geometry(OD,ID, Mat spec detail) for the open order book and giving requisition to the Buyer. By doing do making substitution of raw materials which are excess to us to reduce BP inventory and defining new sizes rather than selecting master BOM which can be more cost effective(weight /m/cing process wise).
- Making shortage of raw material and conducting weekly meeting with the Buyer to check whether everyting is on schdule or not and if found any delay then asking to expedite that material by closely monitoring and doing substition whenever there is possibility to avoid delay in the sales order and informing to the customer about order delay.
- Releasing assembly work orders to shop floor as per the delivery commitment.
- Whenever there is an update/expediting request from the customer, need to review current status of manufacturing part, purchase part , capacity available at the current time and need to update to the customer about delivery.
- Involved in the yearly cost roll up process, to analyze parts for which cost has been increased/reduced.
- Reviewing JCV for the WOs(which have high variance) received from the Account team & providing input with proper justification and highlighting if there is any cost component not captured in PCI.
- By using JDE knowledge, running multiple reports and extracting data from JDE, making report of last month invoicing for MOOWR submission to custom with actual used BOM/Lot number/used Qty detail and need to identify import parts which are received under Moowr licence.
- Working out excess inventory available in plant and finding plants which have demand for those parts and sending mail to those plants to take from us instead of Buying them to reduce plant inventory.
- By using analytical skill, consumption histry, turn around time identifing the parts which are needed as a safety stock whenever there is a requirement
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of ERP system.
- Min 3 years of work experience in planning.
- Be fluent, both verbal and written, in the English.
- Ability to competently perform all job functions with minimal.
