ResponsibilitiesAn intermediate position that consistently produces high volume parts in a cost-efficient manger and performs all CNC operational functions required by management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Not listed in any particular order)
- Operate CNC Machinery within productivity guidelines
- Review shop order packet for procedural instructions.
- Perform and assist set up with general supervision.
- Set up 80% of all jobs with no assistance.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
- Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001.
- Identify proper tooling on CNC for setup on ID/OD procedures
- Set up turret with no assistance.
- Use of basic types of inspection gages with assistance.
- Develop a working knowledge of various tool holders, boring bars for CNC machining.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Weatherford.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and company with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Qualifications- 2-5 years of relevant machining experience and or a combination of work / education experience.
- Vocational / Technical certification.
- Basic English comprehension reading, writing and speaking skills
- Basic math functions including fractions and decimals
- Knowledge of manual lathe and general functions
- Familiar with carbide inserts different style and usage.
- Intermediate knowledge of soft and hard jaws
