Job Title: Land Acquisition Manager

About the company: Founded in 2008 a leading photovoltaic power producer specializing in large-scale ground-mounted power plants. With a robust portfolio in operation, under construction, and under development, the company boasts nearly 900 MWp across approximately 60 plants, with an additional 4.3 GWp under development.
Job Description: The Land Manager plays a pivotal role in securing land rights for PV power plants. This includes engaging with landowners and stakeholders, negotiating agreements, and ensuring all necessary documentation is secured.
Responsibilities:
- Secure land agreements for planning, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of PV farms.
- Conduct due diligence on projects from a land management perspective.
- Contact landowners, draft lease agreements, negotiate terms, and ensure agreements are signed.
- Verify land agreement coverage for project areas and assist with documentation for Project Information Memorandum (PIM).
- Liaise with road associations, prepare road use agreements, and facilitate meetings if required.
- Address investor queries during transaction phases and budget costs for land agreements.
- Maintain and update land agreement data in the Land Management Support System.
- Register signed agreements at the National Land Survey and facilitate communication between landowners and banks.
- Develop and implement project-specific Communication Plans.
- Conduct landowner meetings to provide project updates and address inquiries.
- Communicate contact lists, construction restrictions, and special conditions to construction teams.
- Monitor and address landowner interests during construction phases.
- Oversee as-built documentation and calculate land lease distributions.
- Manage land agreement-related requirements in CATA deliveries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Land Surveying, or Environmental Engineering.
- Previous experience in forestry sales/purchasing, land use planning, or land surveying in the solar or wind energy sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with legal contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in geographical information systems (GIS) is advantageous.
- Fluency in Italian (mother tongue) and professional English
