• We are looking for Authorised Technicians to support our Special Projects Team in ASP. At Vestas you will have the opportunity to develop your skills together with the global actor within wind energy and contribute to a greener world.

The Special Projects department is responsible for Main component exchange, Implementation of larger Upgrade campaigns and Blade service of the wind farms in the ASP region of Vestas. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. You will be required to develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines to enable you to perform daily maintenance and repairs and other tasks to enable the Special Projects team to complete their scope on and Offshore. Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that our targets are met, you will be part of a team of projects managers, coordinator and site and deputy site managers working throughout the region.
Responsibilities
As Authorised Technicians your primary tasks will be:
- Electrical and mechanical operations - also covering installation activities, usage of our systems like Condition Monitoring / Remote Control, creating follow-up orders. You will maybe work with high voltage
- Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that targets are met, you will be part of a team of working throughout the region
- Ensure a safe work practice by acting in compliance with Vestas HSE requirements
- Ensure own P.P.E checks are done, and monthly check sheets are logged
- Daily communication with SP Supervisors, Project Supervisors, deputy site managers, site managers and Project Managers.
- Identify, register and handle deviations
- Maintain turbines and Equipment
- Plan, arrange and participate in: Daily tasks on the WTG's, vessels, Resources, Tools, Documentation, Spare parts and components.
- WTG completion and start up, troubleshoot.
- Working with both the other technicians and supervisors in the field, whilst also having regular contact with the office-based staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience with a mechanical, electrical or electronics background, with good solid evidence of problem-solving and fault-finding. (an AT/CT under WTSR)
- Formal qualification in at least one of the above or have supported an apprenticeship
- The ability to work at height of 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions
- Full, clean driving license
- Fluency in English in speaking and writing
- A good level of computer literacy, used to software, apps and related
