Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose
To carry out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc, in order to establish acceptability to specification. Supervise team of NDT technicians, ensure Quality / HSE performance is achieved in line with company and procedural requirements.
Functions
• To provide support to the NDT Management Team/Operations Manager in providing an efficient service to clients
• To supervise the day-to-day utilisation of Radiography team personnel as required
• To ensure all operations are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner by qualified personnel in accordance with approved procedures.
• To ensure productivity of operations is always maintained.
• Carry out site visits to monitor technicians safe working practices.
• Carry out site audits where required.
• To deliver safety briefings prior to work being undertaken
• Carry out toolbox talks as and when required and maintain attendance register accordingly.
• Ensure equipment is used correctly, safely and is in good condition.
• Visit workplace for radiography both on site and off site to carry out work assessments.
• Submit (where applicable) HSE or regulatory notifications for site radiography.
• Ensure client requirements are always met.
• Liaise with clients on any issues and advise on any suggestions for improvements where necessary.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any issues or concerns arising from inspection results.
• Liaise with Client, Plant Inspectors and Corrosion Engineers as necessary.
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification.
• Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and reported to the operations manager.
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection.
• Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.
• Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering Inspection operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements.
• Ensure all timesheets are completed and signed off in a timely manner.
• Ensure team timesheets are accurate and all hours are correctly cost coded. Provide accurate weekly tracker to Time dates entry clerk.

REQUIRED
• PCN/SNT Level 2 Radiography
• RPS
• Digital Radiography & processing
• Full UK Driving Licence
DESIRED
• GCSE/Standard Grade pass in English, Maths and Science
