Our ideal candidate has a successful record of helping teams deliver their applications to production and has a risk-based approach for adeptly balancing cost and benefit. In addition, you have a passion for productivity and thrive in an environment where you can navigate through challenging automation and deployment problems across multiple cross-functional development teams.
You will be joining our Release management Center of Excellence team in Digital Expert Services. A team that assists our products, platforms and projects with structuring and planning the release windows and cycles across our portfolio.
Responsibilities - Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within expectations
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at separate locations
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
- Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
- Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
- Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Qualifications - At least 3 years of release management experience
- ITIL expert or similar certification
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Experience in Negotiating, planning, and managing all release activities
Competencies - Good written and oral English communications skills
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills; team player
- Ability to discuss and agree on a release plan with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to react to change and adapt the plan quickly
- Solid knowledge in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyze their application to our needs
- Ability to lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
