Power Solutions > Applications, Controls & Electrical > Control Hardware Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, Module Tech Lead and Integration, as part of Control Hardware (CHW). Control Hardware Module is responsible for the design and development of Low Voltage control panels and the control system across various sections of Wind Turbine. Control Hardware module is inclusive of several submodules explicit to each section of Wind Turbine.
You will be part of the Module Tech Lead and Integration group, responsible for delivering the complete Low voltage Electrical package, which includes design and development of LV control panels, Cables, Electronics and Sensors used on different applications/sections across the Wind Turbine. You will be deeply involved in the process of Integration of LV Electrical system in our Products. You will demonstrate the technical accountability and leadership ability across the various function and interfaces of the electrical systems [Hardware, Software, Mechanical and Process]. You will be involved in process of test and validation of electrical system Integrated with various sub functions of CHW to Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) main functions.
Responsibilities - You will be taking End to End ownership of Integration of LV Electrical System/Components in the WTG. You will be the primary point of contact in CHW to other modules stakeholders engaged on this Integration. You will be supporting CHW Functional breakdowns and create the Integration plan fits to WTG plan
- Responsible for the Integration of Sub-functions, Interfaces, ConOps to WTG Functions before startup
- Assist on submodule DFMEA, HSE Risk assessment reviews in collaboration with FLs and SFLs
- Assist on review of submodule DVPR and DVREs to ensure the coverage of subfunction Integration. Responsible for creating and execute the Integration DVPL, DVPR and DVREs with full coverage. Assist submodule on implementation of CLQ process based on DVRE inputs
- Assist on root cause analysis in the submodule on test findings, create a fix and repeat the test on new solution
- Support manufacturing test on the prototype build, by addressing the design corrections and make a back brief to the submodule for the design improvements
- You will be the first point of contact to Service/Quality for the technical issues contributes Loss production factor
- Facilitate the lesson learned to report the potential improvements back into the team/module. Identify, develop, and validate the technical/process improvements as part of continuous improvement process
Qualifications We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5-7years of relevant experience in Electrical Test and Validation. Handson experience in Low voltage components, PLCs & automation will be preferred
- Hands on experience on tools like DFMEA, Creo view and Windchill (ETAP - would be an added advantage)
- Experience on handling ECM (engineering change management) along the product life cycle
- Knowledge on International standards such as IEC, UL, etc., preferably IEC 60204-1 Machine directive
- Basic knowledge on EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) design and testing requirements
- Experience in product development process with knowledge of design and life cycle management
- Experience in stakeholder management spanning full value chain across system integration
