Senior Risk Analyst within
EGEM in
London. You will be responsible for improve and centralize Risk Management within EGEM through the implementation of a robust framework and in-house IT projects. Excelling in this area could lead to a range of interesting and challenging career opportunities in the trading business.

EGEM's headquarter office is in Milan, the company also has offices in London, Brussels and Singapore.
As a member of the finance department at EGEM you will be responsible for:
- Analysing of positions, both physical and financial, and understanding how they fit within the firm's risk framework.
- VaR calculation and analysis, ensuring that the VaR metric is both complete and accurately reflects the risk of the desks;
- Automation and improvement of processes carried out by Trade Control and Credit departments;
- Calculating cash usage throughout EGEM in order to predict future cash requirements and monitor cash usage by Front Office;
- Analysing and calculating of stress on both an aggregated and specific strategy level.
- Leading IT projects in the market risk team. These projects can be cross asset class and designed to improve management information and/or ease of reporting. Significant interaction within the market risk
with other teams will be necessary - Interface with IT to develop and manage all reporting activities within the company dedicated ETRM system
- Ensuring that best practises are applied across the EGEM risk team
- When required, prepare and review daily PNL and risk reports and follow up any issues with relevant teams;
- Maintaining a good knowledge of risk metrics, be able to understand and discuss with the other risk managers VaR, Stress and Greeks so as to be able to assist in commentary and development;
- Developing and maintaining strong business relationship with different functions, e.g. Front Office, Back Office, IT, Planning & Control;
- Recording and monitoring adherence to risk limits for the trading desks
- Guaranteeing compliance for trading procedures with relevant controls and support when necessary internal and external audit requests;
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- University degree in computing, economics, maths, pure science, finance, engineering or a similar numerate discipline;
- Strong IT skills: excellent Python, VBA and SQL required.
- Experience in successfully implementing IT projects.
- Knowledge of the market risk/ product control role either within trading companies or banks.
- knowledge of risk metrics such as VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis;
- Knowledge of the Endur ETRM system would be an advantage.
- Ability to communicate concisely to senior management in Market Risk and to stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor junior members and raise the profile of the team;
- Full command of the English language
