If yes, this is a great opportunity to join Siemens Gamesa as our new onshore Blade Supervisor within the dynamic Rope Access Blade Repair (RABR) team, covering the Northern Europe and Middle East (NEME) region. In this critical role, you will lead and supervise teams of Blade Technicians, ensuring the success of high-impact campaigns and reactive maintenance tasks on wind turbine blades. Your leadership and technical expertise will be vital in maintaining the integrity and performance of our wind turbines, directly supporting our mission to drive the energy transition and provide innovative, sustainable energy solutions.
As a Blade Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing both long-term campaigns and reactive work, requiring flexibility and the ability to manage changing tasks effectively. Your role will involve direct supervision, planning, monitoring, and coordination of all activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. You will be a key player in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while also providing hands-on support and technical guidance as needed.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the sustainable and efficient operation of wind farms, thereby advancing our mission to supply clean energy for future generations.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:- Task Management: Oversee daily tasks of subcontracted Blade Technicians, ensuring clear communication, setting performance targets, and supporting their training and development.
- Safety Leadership: Promote HSE (Health, safety & Environment) standards, participate in Siemens Gamesa HSE processes and campaigns, and develop safety-critical control measures such as risk assessments and method statements.
- Technical Oversight: Monitor and ensure high-quality standards in technical works performed by subcontracted teams, providing guidance when needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with customers, site management, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Resource Planning: Organize daily work schedules, coordinate with subcontractors, and support project management with key task completion information.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate completion of technical checklists, timesheets, daily reports, and project schedules, providing feedback for improvements.
- Hands-On Support: Perform Rope Access and Blade work to support subcontracted teams when necessary, leading by example in blade repair and maintenance.

Dynamic leader with a blend of Technical Proficiency, Leadership skills, and a focus on safety and quality
- Technical Expertise: A strong background in blade repair and maintenance, with necessary certifications and hands-on experience. Detailed technical requirements are listed below

- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in supervising teams, with evidence of leadership capability and managing multiple teams' performance.
- Safety and Quality Focus: Strong safety leadership, experience in conducting safety audits, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Familiarity with safety reporting tools like Enablon or Sphera is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to liaise between multiple stakeholders, including customers, site management, subcontractors, and technicians. Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are beneficial.
- Flexibility and Resilience: Capacity to adapt to changing business needs, manage fluctuating demands, and work away from home on a shift pattern.
- Physical Fitness: The role requires working at significant heights and in various outdoor conditions, often requiring physical endurance and the ability to handle equipment safely and effectively. You must be physically fit and comfortable working in challenging environments.
