We are looking for an experienced
Service Operations Manager to join our Northern Europe & Middle East Onshore Service Leadership team
on Fixed Term contract until Dec 2025. Based in the West of Scotland, the successful candidate will be overall responsible for SGRE's delivery of service excellence across multiple wind farms.
The successful candidate should have significant experience of service operations management, with strong commercial and contract management knowledge, ideally gained within the wind industry. Experience of turbine maintenance and repair of Siemens, Senvion or Gamesa turbines is therefore essential. This role is centred on leadership and the successful candidate must have be able to demonstrate effective leadership abilities developed through demonstrable experience of leading operational field based teams.
As the Service Operations Manager you will be the key interface to multiple customers and will be overall responsible and accountable for maximizing the production output of their windfarms and delivering against safety, quality, schedule, and profit targets whilst seeking to maximize customer value from the products and services SGRE offers.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:- Setting the standards, expectations, guidelines and culture to achieve an incident and injury free project execution in alignment with SGRE's #HomeSafe policy
- Leadership, mentoring and development of site team members, including Supervisors and technicians, embracing SGRE's company values and ethics based upon a culture of open communication and visible presence
- Retaining a productive and positive working relationship with our customers to ensure we provide the best service possible whilst maximizing customer and SGRE value
- Strategic leadership, improvement, management, governance and planning of wind farm operations to ensure maximum availability and cost optimization whilst ensuring that schedule and other key targets are met
- Regular reporting / updates to senior management advising of progress to plan against KPI's and actions to drive improvement, issues for escalation, focus areas, etc
- Accountability for financial performance and budgetary management, including the optimization of gross profit and cash flow and delivery against growth and budget targets
- Effective management of risk and opportunities, contract and claims through risk mitigation measures

- This role will require the successful candidate to be located in the West Scotland area but you should expect some domestic and international travel
- This role requires significant experience within the wind industry and a strong Operations Management background, ideally from large and complex environments where you have delivered against customer agreements with full responsibility for commercial results
- Have a track record of building and maintaining motivated and committed teams, ideally delivering in a safety-critical environment as well as building and managing customer relationships and navigating a complex organization to ensure a highly positive customer experience
- The ideal candidate will understand standard safety, financial and operational performance metrics and how to influence them and will be a problem solver with the ability to lead by example and through others
