Eni, we are looking for a
Senior Business Developer at ETB in
London. You will be responsible for negotiating and concluding transactions within an agreed strategy to generate value for ETB, making sure that all transactions are supported and approved by the relevant trading bench.

ETB's activities further include the sourcing and management of maritime transportation and logistics services, and the provision of oil risk management services, for itself and on behalf of the whole Eni group, by trading commodity derivatives on the main regulated and over the counter markets. ETB's integration with the wider Eni businesses ensures a global and integrated approach that is further reinforced by Eni's relationships and broad portfolio of global assets. ETB is present in the UK, in Italy, in Singapore and through a subsidiary, in Houston - USA.
As a member of the trading department at ETB, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all transactions are approved through the agreed deal approval process;
- Providing insight and supporting the development of the long-term strategy for ETB;
- Maintaining regular communication with key personnel in Upstream, R&M and Versalis to identify and deliver new integrated projects;
- Maintaining regular communication with key clients and customers;
- Developing new relationships with external parties (producers, refiners, marketers, storage companies, banks and financial institutions) to deliver transactions under the agreed strategy;
- Developing and presenting analysis to management on future business development opportunities;
- Tracking and communicating to colleagues developments in the market and relevant market intelligence, including supply and demand balances and competitor activities;
- Supporting the other members of the business development team in developing long-term asset and contractual positions in line with the ETB long-term strategy;
- Guiding and mentoring the junior members of the team;
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- Preferred Educational Qualification is a Degree (with preference for numerate subjects such as Engineering, Mathematics or Economics);
- Experience in trading or business development in a trading environment;
- Proven track record of delivery;
- Knowledge of the use of derivatives in structured transactions
- Experience with financing in a trading business;
- Knowledge of market fundamentals;
- Experience in refining and upstream operations and processes;
- Experience in working in a global and international organization;
- Full command of the English language (written & spoken); knowledge of any other language would be beneficial.
