The Business Analyst serves as liaison for the business unit and other units such as project management, Information Technology, Lending, Card & Payment Services, etc. to ensure the smooth transition of new products, services and/or processes for support within the business unit. This position monitors and analyzes business unit operations to ensure proper application of technology (including business intelligence) and support resources, and works within the business unit to identify, diagnose and solve complex business problems. Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities. Additionally, this analyst position monitors projects and works in collaboration with the Strategic Research and Reporting (SRR) team as needed. The Business Analyst provides business unit support for centralized reporting processes. This position communicates regularly with the SRR team analysts, all levels of the organization, industry peers, service providers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality service. This position is also responsible for requirements gathering and all business requirement documentation.

Essential Functions:• Serves as liaison with business unit and other units such as project management and information technology to ensure the smooth transition of new products, services and/or processes for support within the business unit.• Monitors and analyzes business unit operations to ensure proper application of technology (including business intelligence) and support resources, and works within the business unit to identify, diagnose and solve complex business problems.• Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities.• Monitors all organizational projects and works in collaboration with the SRR team analysts to ensure consistency and efficiency in project deliverables. • Provide business unit support for centralized reporting processes. • Communicates regularly with the SRR team analysts, all levels of the organization, industry peers, service providers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high quality service.• Responsible for requirements gathering and all business requirement documentation.• Monitor performance metrics to optimize performance.• Identifies, tracks and reports on key metrics.• Develop strategies and tactical plans to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).• Responsible for Ad Hoc reporting.• Ability to identify and break down business problems.• Must be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Required Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in related business or operations area or 2+ years’ experience in operations analysis or equivalent. • Must have strong problem solving, analytical, organizational and decision making skills. • Must have experience in gathering business requirements and strong documentation skills.• Must have ability to build operational/financial models.• Must have technical writing experience. • Must have advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables and Statistical Analysis experience.• Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.• Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:• Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field.• 5+ years’ experience in operations analysis. • Subject matter expert with the business unit.• Understand Delta Community strategy, divisional objectives and functions.• Ability to build predictive models and forecasts.• Teradata and MicroStrategy skills. • Candidate should possess the knowledge of credit union’s or financial services’ systems, policies and procedures.
