SUMMARY
The HR Assistant supports the Corporate Human Resources team and facility Human Resource Coordinators by performing various clerical/administrative services that help advance the Human Resources functions within the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Performs other duties as assigned.)
- Support and assist the Corp. HR Department with administrative tasks including processing documents, preparing reports and presentations, and coordinating communications with facility-level Human Resources Coordinators.
- Updates HRIS with human resource actions, employee information and/or documentation.
- Supports investigation and solution identification for HRIS issues.
- Maintains accurate and complete record system including HRIS and computer software applications.
- Participates in the monitoring and renewal of licensure renewals for corporate employees.
- Provides help in implementing services, policies and programs that promote a safe, positive work environment and promote recruitment and development of our workforce.
- Coordinate(s) with facility Human Resource Coordinators (HRC) to assess needs, collect information and communicate facility-specific solutions.
- Assist the Corporate HR Manager in managing hotline calls and HR issues.
- Assist Corp. HR Manager with the completion and roll-out of HR policies and procedures, employee handbook, and employee programs.
- Supports Corp. HR Manager in the administration of statutory benefits including Unemployment Compensation and Worker's Compensation program.
- Participates in the preparation of annual compliance reporting requirements including annual EEO-1 and OSHA.
- Assists Corp. HR Department with completion of the company's Monthly/Annual HR Operations tasks.
- Serves as back up to the Corporate Payroll & Benefits Manager with the processing of the company-wide payroll biweekly.
- Supports Corp. Payroll/Benefits Manager with annual Open Enrollment for the company health benefits and quarterly Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) reporting.
- Assist with HR analytics, reporting development and automation, and ad hoc reporting.
- Participates, as requested, in company meetings.
- Adheres to and oversees communication of privacy guidelines relative to the confidentiality of employee and residents' protected health and personnel information (HIPAA) from improper use and disclosure.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma, or its equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience in long-term care or the healthcare industry preferred.
- Proficient in Windows environment with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Prior HRIS experience. Paylocity experience preferred.
- Prior payroll processing experience
- Awareness of employment laws and regulations.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects.
- Infrequent travel/overnight may be required.

Working in a normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk, and hear. May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs.
