This role is part of Manufacturing design and EAM team, where Factory layout creation/ revision through 2D and 3D applications along with process simulations are being worked out.
Responsibilities - Responsible to design the optimal layout solution ensuring the Safety/Environmental and Ergonomics aspects are considered
- Responsible to detail custom layout including floor plan, placement, routing, verification, and release of final database that connect systems and processes throughout a complex, industrial environment
- Responsible to validate the input data for the layout engineering of the building (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, cable list, electrical load list, etc.), evaluates them and verifies their technical consistency
- Responsible to design the pipes, and electrical cable trays in the 3D model if required and do an initial check of the consistency between the process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model
- Responsible for Process simulation, 3D virtual factory creation using NX Line Designer and simulate production scenarios using PlantSIM
- Responsible for all the related technical documents (progress reports, equipment introduction note, change impact analysis, design procedures, etc.)
- Responsible to communicate the layout drawings to the various cross functional teams and coordinates the layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules
- Responsible for project execution through SAP/ERP/ECM systems
- Contribute to cost reduction and improve quality through standardization and process efficiency improvements. Also contribute towards production flow optimization
- Deliver the technical solution within quality, time and cost targets
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering (or) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or allied with experience in Industrial design
- Minimum 2+years of experience in Plant layout design and layout detailing in both 3D and 2D environment
- Experience in design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards
- Exposure to intercultural environment with solid stakeholder management experience
Competencies - Excellent communication. (Oral/ written)
- Ability to read, understand and communicate Engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- PLM/ PDMlink exposure (Windchill or similar tool).
- ACAD/ NX Line Designer/ Process Simulate/ PlantSIM applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel & Power point for reporting day to day progress.
- Ability to plan & prioritize work - also under pressure.
- Project management - Exposure to Gate reviews/ Activities/ Deliverable framework.
