Job Description Summary-:
Heads all over the assigned Engineering organization, leads all related management and staff, defines and sets Engineering strategy, policies and guidelines in accordance to the overall strategic targets.
* Heads the local organization assigned, and leads, motivates and develops all related management, professional and operational staff.
* Defines local EXE India strategies, policies and guidelines for the organization.
* Executes governance within the organization.
* Acts as ultimate point of escalation for decisions in the local organization for strategically relevant or critical cases.
Job Description-:
We are looking for a Head of Execution India with an experience of 15+ years to join Project Engineering in our Offshore Execution business unit. The role will be part of the Global Project Engineering Leadership team and the Local Bangalore Senior Leadership team, with local leadership for all India based employees within Offshore Execution. This includes Project Engineering, Equipment and HSE. In addition, the role will have global leadership for the strategic department PMO, within Project Engineering.
How to contribute to our vision
As our Head of EXE India, you provide leadership and long-term strategic direction for the department. You will encourage and promote being best in class within Execution and steer the department to enhance the mission and vision in alignment with the overall engineering strategic plan. The role will have direct responsibility for the future direction in close alignment with the key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will among others cover:-
• Local Management of Execution employees based in Bangalore office,
• A combination of local leading leaders and leading others within Execution organization
• Manage and coordinate core processes within Project Engineering, such as yearly budget, resource management and performance management,
• Local Stakeholder management towards interfaces and people development of local Execution employees
• Build strategy, lead and execute the strategy for Execution in India, in close alignment with Global head of Project Engineering
• Ramp up new areas within India Execution, and drive collaboration across global Execution strategic project functions
• Local leadership of our Execution team, approximately 100 employees, in a matrix setup, having close collaboration with various global functional leaders of the organization
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
You hold a university degree within engineering combined with minimum 10 years of relevant leadership experience from the wind power industry or comparable industry. You have proven experience in proactively managing many different stakeholders and interfaces, internally as well as externally and succeeding in setting and executing long term strategies.
As a person you are open minded, positive, proactive, motivating and self-determined. You take responsibility for your team; you value people and you possess strong strategic innovative orientation & strong decision making. You are familiar with working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. Regular presence in all of our relevant offices, including occasional travels to our global sites must be expected to be part of the role.
