About our Transportation Team:HDR's Oregon Transportation team is in search of a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our growing practice and world-class engineering roadway design expertise. Our transportation projects include highways, local roadways, large urban freeways, ADA ramp improvement programs, bike/pedestrian lanes, transit, and BRT corridors projects.

In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer (Roadway), we'll count on you to:- Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team with medium to large projects.
- Prepare and oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, and ADA ramp design.
- Prepare the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, traffic control plans.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office applications
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams
- Project management skills desirable
- Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
- Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
