The Principal DesignOps Lead is responsible for orchestrating the documentation, communication, and collaboration workflows of the Consumer and Small Business Experience Design organization and ensuring its overall efficiency. This role ensures the optimal functioning of processes, systems, and tools, enabling the design and research teams to deliver superior user experiences for Truist clients, prospects, and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and implement DesignOps strategies to enhance collaboration and improve productivity across the design team.
2. Lead the creation and maintenance of the design team's documentation and workflows, streamlining processes to foster teamwork within the design team and strengthen partnerships with product and development teams.
3. Implement, manage, and optimize communication, training, and collaboration tools to empower the design community.
4. Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional coordination and securing leadership support for DesignOps initiatives.
5. Facilitate peer-to-peer programs and team activities that enhance the team's proficiency in design tools, processes, and best practices.
6. Develop and track metrics to measure the impact of DesignOps initiatives on team performance and business outcomes, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. BA/BS degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Web Design, Service Design, Communication Design, Computer Science, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors, other related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
3. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously.
4. Demonstrated ability to influence product direction through a deep understanding of users and design concepts
5. Strong communication and presentation skills.
6. Mastery of UX and UI standards.
7. Basic understanding of CSS/HTML and Content Management Systems.
8. Possess an understanding of the intersection of technology and human behavior
Preferred Qualifications:
1.Advanced degree (MS or PhD) User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Web Design, Service Design, Communication Design, Computer Science, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors, other related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience supporting user experience teams working within cross-functional environments, streamlining workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
3. Ability to lead organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Familiarity interpreting metrics to measure team performance and the impact of DesignOps initiatives.
5. Experience in creating creating and maintaining design documentation and systems.
6. Experience in agile development, ensuring seamless integration with development cycles.
7. Relevant certifications such as CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
8. Banking or financial services experience.
