Overview
We are seeking an Engineer or a Field Compliance Coordinator to join the Corporate Emergency Management & Continuity Division (CEMAC) of OSPAS Planning & Support Department.
The CEMAC Division is responsible for implementing, maintaining and enhancing business continuity, crisis management and resilience programs in Saudi Aramco and its group of companies. Its objective is to ensure sustainable resiliency that protects SA interests, minimizes business disruption and reduces reputational risks.
Engineer or Field Compliance Coordinator primary role is to provide expert advices and CEMAC services to the Company and other stakeholders to help implementing, maintaining & enhancing business continuity, crisis management and resilience in Company's operations and ensuring plans and strategies are appropriately managed.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following in relation to Business Continuity and Crisis Management (referred to herewith as BC & CM):
Act as a specialist in the subject of BC and CM, providing wide range of advisory services to BC and CM programs with company and associated JVs and Subsidiaries
Provide Business Continuity Management consultancy at admin area specific and other critical functions/office buildings
Evaluate existing and new BC and CM project plans and recovery strategies across various levels
Evaluate implementation of BC & CM plans that provide continuity within recovery time objectives.
Plan and facilitate BC and CM exercises across a number of organizations
Assess effectiveness of CM and BC plans and provide critic to implementation of relevant improvement recommendations based on lessons learned and findings of exercise results.
Participate in the delivery of proponent training to develop competency of Crisis and Continuity Management governance policies.
Review policies, instructions, projects, and programs related to CEMAC.
Critically assess incidents and provide expert advice in classifying emergencies.
Successfully activate and operate the company Emergency Monitoring Room (EMR) including all associated tools and systems.
Act as an advisor to major proponents and corporate emergency drills and exercise and provide appropriate feedback and areas for improvement to ensure resilience
Assess drills and desktop full simulations tests to practice and stress test an organization's crisis management processes of credible scenarios for all emergency levels for industrial/nonindustrial events.
Conduct after action incident debriefs, identify improvement opportunities, and develop SMART actions as a result.
Establish, test, and evaluate "crisis communication" between company, noncompany agencies, and Joint Ventures.
Help in developing and implementing a proactive CEMAC strategy to ensure that CEMAC processes are embedded throughout the Company or assigned area.
Oversee the maintenance of the corporate resilience policy, strategy, and framework in accordance with best practices and statutory or mandatory requirements.
Help in identifying and implementing solutions to close the gaps in the governance and control environment of the Company or its subsidiaries & joint ventures.
Develop CEMAC training plans and materials and provide ongoing advice and CEMAC training to the relevant areas in the Company.
Benchmark with other Oil/Gas Companies to determine the level of crisis preparedness against best practice standards.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelors in Science degree in a recognized field of engineering; or a bachelor's degree from a recognized and approved program in one of the following: fire protection, environmental, occupational safety, industrial safety, risk management, emergency management, crisis and disaster management or an equivalent. An advanced degree is highly preferred.
You will have twenty years' experience in the hydrocarbon, petrochemicals, or related industries including at least fifteen years in crisis, emergency or continuity management.
As a successful candidate, you will have to demonstrate the ability to:
Assess operational contingency plans based on threats and exposure to business operations and employees.
Assess incidents Received to determine the event crisis potential.
Create or improve stockholder crisis management structures, systems and processes
Design, develop, and test disaster-preparedness schemes.
Conduct training needs and conduct training for Crisis Management, including executive training.
Implement procedures and tools considered best practice in crisis preparedness structures.
Identify points of vulnerability in the company's crisis management capabilities, develop, and implement action plans (short-term and long-term) to reduce disaster recovery exposures Areas.
Possess industry knowledge in CEMAC fundamentals.
Review proposals related to corporate initiatives for CEMAC requirements
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure their crisis recovery plans for critical systems and applications are consistent with the plans developed for Saudi Aramco.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with members of management, public relations, government officials, partners, and stakeholders.
