Eni, we are looking for a
Senior Process Engineer within
Coral FLNG SA in
Maputo,
Mozambique. You will be providing technical support and assisting the Lead Process Engineer to achieve high engineering standards, improve plant thermal efficiency and daily plant operation. You will carry out daily heat and material heat balance for the train, performing unit simulation to verify actual optimum operating conditions, monitoring key process parameters and investigating root causes and response to plant operational problems.
As a member of the Asset department you will be responsible for: - Reviewing project deliverables ie: the basic engineering, FEED, Pre-PHA, Safety cases, Detailed Engineering review as per the Coral FLNG technology and Process best practices, and supporting the Projects department in the technical evaluation of bidders.
- Representing the Process engineering for the FAT & SAT.
- Providing support for a smooth transition from the commissioning phase to operational phase.
- Carrying out and monitoring trending of key process parameters of the unit, safe and operating window. Performing preliminary investigations and recommending short-term actions if any deviations occur.
- Monitoring day-to-day plant production and providing timely process support to plant operation, to secure plant operational integrity and maximize production.
- Monitoring plant and equipment performance with a view to identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Implementing process performance testing schedule. Supporting any required process simulation.
- Preparing process performance tests: discussing test procedures with plant operators, collecting performance data and preparing performance test report.
- Actively participating in HAZOP/Safety review of plant operation and design of modification MOCs.
- Performing out site inspection of material/chemical degradation, supervising and inspecting condition of mole sieve bed during replacement and performing quality control for loading and unloading of mole sieve bed and activated carbon.
- Supporting engineering and operation work instruction; preparing and issuing procedures, such as hazard operability studies and molecular sieve replacement procedures.
- Maintenance of process simulation and design software.
- Participating in the plant de-bottlenecking exercise and plant expansion study: scope of study, cost estimates; preparing basis of design and specifications, reviewing of engineering deliverables, supporting project CSU and performance test.
- Performing minor process troubleshooting and recommending short and term actions.
- Providing process operating guideline to the shift Operation for safe and efficient operating envelope.
- Participating in investigations of plant trips and slowdowns, providing support for issuing the report.
- Supporting Operation Emergency Response Plan; identifying actions to be taken by plant operators in the event emergencies.
- Participating in HSE audits.
- Responding to Operation call-out during outside office hours.
- Providing technical support to the Maintenance, Production and Project departments regarding selection, operation and troubleshooting of the plant.
- Developing, planning and executing Process scope of work and resources required for shutdowns and turnarounds, planned or unplanned.
- Providing engineering expertise and guidance on process operations, projects, instrumentation controls, and ensuring assets are utilized and/or modified safely and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Extracting and reporting lessons learnt from the operation experience during plant upset.
- Evaluating performance of equipment and systems post-commissioning after project completion and following up close-out of outstanding items.
- Closing out RCFA, Insurance, Shareholder and other Audit Action Items.
- Interfacing with the Operations and Technical Service Engineering Team, acting as focal point for all issues related to process changes, controls systems modification and redesign.
- Demonstrating personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment in compliance with the Coral Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations and Coral Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and applying Coral Safety Management Systems.
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements: - Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Associate Engineer or Fundamental Engineer.
- Significant Oil and Gas industry experience, including a background in project/interface management .
- Relevant APCI LNG operations experience.
- Capability to coordinate multi-disciplinary activities and deliver technical and progress reports.
- Ability to work in a multinational environment and manage relationship with external stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
