Overview
We are seeking an Agriculture Job to join the Trees & Green Parks of Central Community Services Department (CCSD).
The Trees & Green Parks is responsible for the 100MM Trees Plantation Strategy Kingdom wide/ Aramco Operations, existing million tree plantations program, national/environmental parks and sanctuaries which is aligned with Community Services (CS) Vision of sustainability towards carbon net zero and operating economies; while combining the resources to reduce the duplication of efforts and create more efficiency in best practices.
The Agriculturist primary role is to provide technical advices and guidance to all gardening, landscaping, and nursery staff on plant production programs, landscaping projects, gardening maintenance, new plant varieties, routine pest control and other activities related to gardening and plantations.
Key Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Direct research to improve and develop better propagation, physiology, production yield, and management of ornamental and agricultural plants, trees, shrubs, nursery stock, and the latest gardening & nursery methods and techniques. Monitors growth & productivity in different soil types and soil conditions. Directs studies to improve insect & pest control methods. Conducts trainings on the latest agricultural techniques, materials, and proper planting and cultivation techniques for sustainable use in the local climate. Training also covers new technology, new methods on irrigation & drainage, and new pest management techniques.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or equivalent from a recognized and approved program.
You will have Ten years of experience in gardening, landscaping, agriculture or equivalent, including at least Eight years in horticulture, gardening, plantations or equivalent.

- You will direct research and experiments to identify land use problems, suitable plant varieties, techniques for nursery operations; best methods for planting, spraying, cultivating, harvesting, storing, processing, or transporting agricultural/horticultural products, as well as pest/weed management.
- You will provide guidance on planning & developing community projects, develops programs which will achieve quality landscaping designs, effective implementation and possible cost
reduction.
- You will provide guidance on programs for training staff personnel on latest agricultural/horticultural technology or methodologies including plant insect/pest control.
- Study soil characteristics and develops improved measurement techniques, soil conservation methods, soil sampling devices, or other technologies are also necessary.
- You will also have to design work programs for implementation by the Gardening, Landscaping and Nursery personnel. Reviews and advises staff in the performance of their duties, preparing periodic reports for supervisory review regarding work performance.
- You will coordinate & implement Integrated Pest Management programs to control horticultural & agricultural pests in all landscaped areas including residences. Advises & instructs on plant pest control. Conducts surveys, collects samples & studies plant pests & materials to improve control efforts.
