POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the VP SubSurface Engineering, the Chemistry Operations Manager is responsible for managing all activities of the Chemistry Innovation Center. The duties of the Chemistry Operations Manager include:
- Providing training to local field employees regarding field-lab practices.
- Managing local lab supplies for both the lab and field.
- Supporting and promoting local research and development efforts.
Key Accountabilities Essential Functions:- Manage all activities of the assigned lab.
- Train local field employees in field lab practices.
- Manage local lab supplies for both the lab and the field.
- Champion local research and development efforts.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of chemistry and lab operations.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and thoroughness in work performed.
- Continually emphasize safety; participate in or lead safety meetings, hazard hunts, and ensure JSA's are followed.
- Know, follow, and periodically review job policy and procedure requirements; follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Report unsafe acts, conditions, or hazards immediately.
- Follow instructions given by supervisory personnel.
- Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as required by the immediate supervisor.
- Adhere to company policies and work requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge/Skill/Ability:- Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand and give verbal and written instructions; ability to use simple mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication) for job-related calculations.
- Advanced understanding of MS Office applications.
- Well-defined written communication skills.
