In order to accommodate the increasing workload, we are looking for a Technical Advisor in our Logging While Drilling department.
Job description: This position requires daily customer interface and organizing resources in an ever-changing environment.
The main tasks are: - Responsible for planning and follow-up of logging while drilling operations on the assigned rigs
- Planning of the MWD/LWD services in collaboration with client sub surface group from MWD/LWD program design through to equipment order, job execution and job close out.
- Daily follow up of the services with client and own staff on the rig.
- Contribute to good cooperation internally, with other suppliers and the operator to meet requirements and expectations
- Work to continuously improve the execution
- Propose the best suitable solution to any customer challenge
- Improve and develop procedures and working methods.
- Contribute to training of new employees and to create a good working environment
- Further develop cross-training and be actively involved in the digitization and automation process
- Make cost estimates per well section and report weekly progress
Qualifications: - Preferably Master (MSc) or Bachelor degree (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Science or other relevant fields
- Lack of formal education can be compensated with relevant experience
- Experience and competent on Logging while drilling operations in Sperry Drilling
- Latest Sperry Drilling technology and new tool generation would be a plus
- Fluency in English verbally and written required, beneficial with a Scandinavian language
- Good communication skills
- Solution oriented, adaptable and flexible
- Preferable with experience on MLWD Service Coordinator or previous Technical Advisor role
Personal qualities: Candidates that are team oriented, collaborative and exhibit good communication skills will be preferred. We seek a person who can work independently and have a drive to seek solutions within the team, proactive and self-driven will be preferred. You need to work in a structured manner and the position requires that you champion the Company's HSE and SQ procedures
Language: Fluency in English verbally and written required, beneficial with a Norwegian language.
