Join Vestas, a growing wind energy company and contribute to the energy transition.Power Solutions / Product Strategy & Technical Sales / Power Plant Solutions MED MED Power Plant Solutions is the department accountable for value engineering, contractual risk management, execution & product management on grid connection & plant control solutions in Vestas power plants along the full project value chain (Development, Sales, Construction and Service stages) in Mediterranean Region, including South European, African, Middle Eastern countries.
Responsibilities You will in charge of:
- Grid Connection Codes scouting & interpretations and pro-active communication with Transmission & Distribution System Operators in French speakers' countries with special focus on France
- Input Grid related market requirements to Vestas R&D ensuring future compliance and efficiency of Plant offerings
- Deliver technical support to Sales Dept. during contract negotiation and bid definition in relation to electrical and grid requirements in order to comply with the applicable standards and technical specifications of the customer
- Participation in team selling approach and building value in each individual project and different customer profiles
- Technical review of the customers' tender documentation and related risk mitigation on project specific basis
- Drive business case optimization and value engineering initiatives for Grid Plant offerings
- Contractual Annex preparation
- Deliver technical support to the project execution and commissioning in relation to electrical and grid requirements specific of the project, and to the design, implementation and testing of wind power plant control solutions
- Deliver technical support to customers, contractors, grid operators & utilities, in relation to wind power technology performance and capabilities to ensure their integration into plant design and system interconnection.
Qualification - M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems
- 2+years of relevant work experience on grid connection of wind power plants from Wind Industry or from System Operators (like RTE and ENEDIS)
- Knowledge about wind power technology (electrical design and control of WTGs and PPC)
- Knowledge about RTE & ENEDIS grid connection code requirements,HV, MV equipment and Substation design,power system stability, control and analysis
- Knowledge about electrical simulation SW like Power Factory, PSCAD, or open modelling libraries and tools
- Knowledge about Energy Market in France
- French & English language, both written and spoken.
Competencies - Ability to work with no supervision with an international team and to establish good team working relations is essential
- Advanced communication and presentation skills to external stakeholders (customers, grid operators, conferences)
- Advanced technical skills with emphasis in problem solving
- Ability to summarize technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Creative solution finding and high degree of motivation to satisfy customer needs
- Effective collaboration skills
- Highly structured and well organized
- Good travel disposition (about 15% of time) in support of customer needs and overall business objectives in MED area
