Job Summary
We seek a highly motivated and results-oriented Mid-Senior Level Switchboard Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and innovating our low-voltage switchboard products.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive mechanical designs for switchboard enclosures, busbars, and structural components, utilizing advanced CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models.

Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for all components, considering cost-effectiveness, performance requirements, and industry best practices.

Employ simulation and analysis tools to optimize designs for superior performance, reliability, and thermal management.

Lead the mechanical design process to strictly comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, local codes).

Ensure that switchboard design complies with relevant design practices, electrical codes, and safety standards such as UL891, UL67, UL508A, UL50, and National Electric Code (NEC), New York City Electric Code (NYCEC), ANSI, IEEE, IEC, Utility Standard, and local regulations.

Stay abreast of emerging standards, innovative materials, and cutting-edge design methodologies.

Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, design teams, and project managers to achieve project objectives seamlessly.

Verify switchboard designs meet stringent mechanical performance and safety standards (e.g., UL, NEC).

Investigate and resolve any mechanical quality issues or non-conformities identified during production or in the field.

Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including detailed mechanical specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and user-friendly technical manuals.

Maintain accurate records of all design changes, revisions, and updates.

Actively monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities through design optimization without compromising quality or safety.

Provide technical support for maintenance and repair activities on deployed switchboard products.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues that may arise in the field.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree a plus).

Experience in sheet metal and fabrication design.

Proven experience (5 years) in switchboard design.

Familiarity with major brands in the industry (Schneider, ABB, Eaton)

Proficiency in advanced CAD software for mechanical design AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor.

In-depth understanding of mechanical standards.
