** POSITION IS BASED IN MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY**
Small manufacturing company is looking for a mechanical engineer to head up project coordination, working closely with engineers and operations. Time will be spent working with shop employees, engineers, vendors, customers, as well as upper management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited too:
· Extensive research to find the most cost-effective products and sources
· Stay up to date on marketing and pricing trends
· Coordinates all activities associated to procurement of materials and supplies for the company
· Attends trade shows
· Meets with Vendors
· Negotiating contracts and recordkeeping
· Be an accomplished and decisive negotiator
· A buyer with good mathematical and analytical skills
· Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of word processing and spread sheet programs
· Have excellent communications skills
· Must have technical familiarity with materials regularly purchased.
· 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree
· Proven work as a project manager or project management experience, a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
