Role DescriptionOverall Objective: As the Associate Director, Specialty Pharmacy & Trade Relations, you will play a crucial role in managing and measuring the execution of LEO Pharma's US Distribution Strategy. Your primary objective will be to achieve support and service objectives for assigned wholesale, retail, and specialty pharmacy customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and leveraging innovative industry-leading customer service capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and implement innovative specialty pharmacy partnerships, including contracts, to support the Specialty Pharmacy network strategy.
- Maintain an integrated business plan that explores specialty pharmacy opportunities and monitors contract progress and performance.
- Measure program performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, communicating results to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with wholesalers.
- Collaborate in addressing broad-based customer service needs and ensure implementation of solutions.
- Develop and execute account-based product distribution and new product launches aligned with brand strategy.
- Manage pricing actions with customers and Compendia.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain on product shipment logistics, inventory levels, and related issues.
- Ensure data integrity and adequate data flows between the company and distribution vendors and trade partners.
- Develop distribution-related policies and procedures as needed.
- Complete all company-based and job-related training as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 7+ years of pharma industry experience with 3+ years of specialty pharmacy experience (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience with managed markets and/or trade, including contracting and negotiations.
- Strong understanding of Trade processes and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Ability to build relationships and expand LEO's presence with wholesaler/distributors and retail/specialty customers.
- Able to build a business case for proposed initiatives and present to upper management.
- Ability to travel overnight 25% of the time.
- Managed market, specialty pharmacy, and trade/supply chain account relationships are a strong plus.
- Experience in dermatology or dermatology specialty pharmacy is a plus.
- Demonstrated contract negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and influencing skills.
