Hiring Range: $85,000 to $126,000 - commensurate with experience.
The Microsoft Fabric Administrator will be responsible for setting up, managing and optimizing the clinic's Microsoft Fabric environment, especially workspaces and data lakes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Fabric technologies and how they apply to the healthcare sector, especially in supporting data analytics, reporting, and integration with clinical and non-clinical 3rd party systems. The administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and configure Microsoft Fabric environments for optimal performance, including Power BI, Data Lake, and other Microsoft data services.

Oversee the setup, deployment, and configuration of Microsoft Fabric tools and services to meet organizational needs.

Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure the system is up to date and secure.
Integration and Data Management:

Integrate Microsoft Fabric with other systems, databases, and external data sources.

Design and deploy scalable and secure Azure Data Lake environments within Microsoft Fabric to store large volumes of healthcare data.

Implement data ingestion pipelines to extract data from third-party applications (e.g., Clinical data from EHR, budget data from Prophyix, provider compensation data from ERP, HR data from Workday) to ensure seamless data movement and transformation.

Set up and manage data partitions, directories, and access controls to ensure the data lakes are well-organized, secure, and accessible to authorized users.

Design and configure Microsoft Fabric workspaces to provide a collaborative environment for data analysts, data engineers, and business intelligence developers.

Work with analysts and business intelligence teams to ensure smooth access to data and accurate reporting.

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Stay updated on the latest Microsoft Fabric releases, features, and best practices.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Deep knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including Power BI, Azure Data Lake, and other associated services like Azure Synapse Analytics.

Proficiency in data management, ETL processes, and integration from third-party systems.

Experience with data lake design and management, including partitioning, indexing, and securing large datasets.

Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure, and experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and related tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration and performance issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and departments.
Preferred Skills:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or similar certifications.

Experience working with large-scale healthcare data systems and APIs.

Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards like HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.

Familiarity with other cloud platforms and data integration tools is a plus. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation for data processing is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

2+ years of experience managing Microsoft Fabric environments, with a focus on data lakes, workspaces, and integration from third-party systems.

5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Azure or Data Lakes.

Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is preferred.
Pay Range:
$83,795.00 - $125,692.00
