Project is scheduled to start late March and last through September. Rotation will be 6:3 or based on project needs to be adjusted as needed with scope of work.
The Offshore Quality Control Inspector shall be responsible for performing inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures on materials, parts, and components.
This is in the inspections fields such as structural fabrication, equipment, piping, electrical, grouting, painting, welding, NDT, and (pre)-commissioning.
The offshore QC Inspector is also responsible for the final walk downs with the client and compiling / reviewing the project final as built.
Responsible for all QC related matters onboard the vessel.
Reporting to:
- Project Quality Lead
- Vessel OCM
Key responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of (sub) assemblies or finished products according to well defined criteria (ITP), including subcontractors.
- Reject or rework (sub) assemblies or finished product as required.
- Carry out visual inspections and all associated paperwork during welding activities.
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare as-built documentation.
- Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures.
- Participate in daily progress meetings onboard the vessel.
- Participate in the construction and/or of ITPs for the inspection function.
- Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Coordinate / request NDT inspection.
- Handing of Non-conformances onboard the vessel, evaluate the problems and make recommendations for possible corrective actions to supervise.
- Actively participate in the lessons learned during the project.
Qualifications:
- Vocational level.
- IWT is preferred.
- NDT knowledge.
- Certified visual welding inspector level 2 according to ISO-9712.
- Minimum of 3 years of quality control experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills. (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge of oral and written English.
