Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE The Senior Commercial Operations Manager is Accountable for the leadership of the Commercial Operations function across their respective geographies, driving global tools and processes for effective and best-in-class Tenders and Contracts management as well as partnering with the Global Commercial group and Global Product Lines in coaching and mentoring the organisation on how to build successful bidding strategies and contractual negotiations. This role is also responsible for helping to identify, advise on, and mitigate risk associated with global tenders and contracts as well as oversight of compliance to terms and conditions, internal reporting, and process adherence.
The role in alignment with line management will set the strategic direction for the Commercial Operations function ensuring it is well placed to deliver value and bottom line impact to the organization.

OPERATIONS
- Proactively and successfully applies oil and gas industry proposal acumen directly to strategic tenders or proposals worked on and indirectly through the Commercial Operations team.
- Oversees the framework/process for the development of the proposal win strategy in collaboration with Global and Geozones teams.
- Accountable for the Commercial Operations process compliance with Weatherford's contracting policy.
- Directs Commercial Operations resources and efforts necessary to manage Tenders and Contracts across all phases of the commercial life cycle, including overseeing the processes deployed by the Geozone Commercial Operations teams and workload analysis.
- Develops and delivers contract performance tracking with Commercial Operations teams.
- Supports the Commercial review outcome by adding expert inputs into major and critical deals within their remit.
- Supports Commercial and Product Line stakeholders in activities to influence strategic pursuits and tenders ahead of release, including customer meetings related to negotiations on key tenders and contracts.
- Ensures all relevant stakeholders are kept informed on major and critical deals the company is working on.
- In partnership with Global Commercial and Marketing, ensure Weatherford's competitive advantages are clearly expressed through the development and implementation of the most up to date content and best in class messaging - managing the same through the output of the Commercial Operations team.
- Develop and/or maintain systems and process for capturing and implementing lessons learned, trend analysis and best practices into future commercial proposals; facilitating adoption and collaboration between Commercial and PL stakeholders.
- Maintains and continually improves Commercial tools and processes in collaboration with the Global Commercial group, Marketing and other relevant stakeholders.
- Leads simplification efforts towards process improvement, efficiencies and bidding capacity enhancement within the team.
- Develops and delivers communication and execution of any simplification improvements to organization in conjunction with global marketing.
- Actively engages and supports the Global Commercial SteerCo projects.
- Contributes to building and implementing commercial training for the organisation.
- Actively contributes with ideas and suggestions to increase the proposal win rate.
- Be financially responsible with their own expenses and oversee that of their reports.
- Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames and following the relevant financial policy and procedure.
COMMUNICATION
- Owns and communicates all aspects of the Commercial Operations Function strategy with respect to people, process and systems.
- Acts as the main point of contact for developing, maintaining and communicating processes and methods on Tenders and Contracts to the Geozones Commercial Operations Managers and to other stakeholders as needed.
- Supports best in class engagement with major Customers at all levels and especially with procurement departments with focus on Tendering and Contracting strategies and Negotiations, ensuring that the Company's preferred positions are clearly represented.
- Develops and maintains productive relationships with all key Global and Geozone stakeholders
- Supports the Geozones Commercial Operations teams by liaising with Global Product Lines and Support departments (such as Legal, Tax, Credit, Risk, Treasury, etc.) to:
- Streamline cooperation between the relevant stakeholders involved in supporting Tenders and Contracts management needs
- Mitigate business risks
- Maximise financial returns and win rate
- Embrace development of alternative offerings and solutions that are aligned with both Weatherford and Customers' objectives.
- Provides periodic reports and updates in a timely and effective manner to their Managers and other business partners as needed.
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and external where appropriate.
- Clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports.

Qualifications EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- University degree in a Business, Finance, Economics, Law or Engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of sales, marketing, proposal management, product line, commercial operations and/or contract management experience in Oil and Gas market.
PREFERRED
- Applied Master's degree or MBA.
- Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint software.
- 10+ years of sales, Marketing, proposal management, Product Line, commercial operations and/or contract management experience in Oil and Gas market.
