ResponsibilitiesJob PurposeThe Global Trainer for Integrated Services and Projects (ISP) is responsible for developing, delivering, and managing technical training programs that enhance the skills and competencies of employees within the Integrated Services & Projects segment. This role is critical in ensuring that all training aligns with the company's strategic goals and quality standards, thereby driving operational excellence and business success globally.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesSAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
- Demonstrate effective safety leadership at all times to enhance the organization's commitment to safety performance.
- Ensure all training programs comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Incorporate safety and security protocols into training materials and sessions.
- Maintain records of compliance training and certifications for audit purposes.
QUALITY
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality & Service execution.
- Apply Weatherford's, and where appropriate/applicable, the client's Quality Policy and Management Systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the Integrated Services & Projects teams.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is relevant, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees post-training to ensure knowledge retention and application.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in training and development.
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
- Manage the training budget and optimize the cost-effectiveness of training programs.
- Track and report on training expenditures and ROI to ensure financial accountability.
CLIENT & COMMUNICATION
- Conduct training sessions using various methods (in-person, virtual, e-learning) to accommodate diverse learning styles and geographical locations.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and consultations with managers.
- Communicate effectively with global teams to coordinate training schedules and logistics.
- Create training materials, including manuals, guides, videos, and presentations.
- Maintain training records and report on training activities, outcomes, and improvements.
OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY
- Manage the logistics of training programs, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and coordination with local teams.
- Utilize training technologies and tools to enhance the delivery and accessibility of training programs.
- Develop training content using various tools and technologies (e.g., LMS, e-learning software, video production).
- Analyze training needs and assess training effectiveness to continuously improve training programs.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance operational capabilities through targeted training initiatives.
QualificationsExperience & Education- Engineering or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a proven record of at least 2 years in a similar training role, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs for Integrated Services and Projects.
- Experience in well engineering, well and casing design, familiar with monitoring rig operations in real time, mud properties, land and off-shore rig inspections, and other topics related to multiple phases of the well life.
- Experience working in diverse cultural and geographic environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Strong understanding of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop training content using various tools and technologies (e.g., LMS, e-learning software, video production).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze training needs and assess training effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training software.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
